The Challenge of Sustainable Development in Nigeria (1992)

This book resulted from NEST collaboration with IIED and other organizations to publish NGO country reports as part of preparations for the 1992 United Nations Conference on Environment and Development (UNCED). The NEST report focused on population, economics, education, gender, institutional framework and land tenure in relation to environment and sustainable development in Nigeria. The report also contributed to the IIED publication Governance for Sustainable Development. A Southern Perspective by Tariq Banuri and Johan Holmberg

This manual describes the elements of the environment in simple language. It was sponsored by the Friedrich Ebert Foundation for use as an outreach tool by NEST for raising grassroots awareness on the environment.
 
Facts and Issues on the Desertification Convention: A Reference Note for Government and Citizen Awareness (1995)
This booklet is part of NEST's efforts to increase awareness about major international conventions on environment in her capacity (in this case) as the national and West African sub-regional focal point of the international NGO action network on the Desertification Convention (RIOD). NEST's participation on this convention and its ancillary activities have been sponsored by IDRC of Canada.
